Running from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon and Washington, the 2665 mile PCT meanders from the SoCal desert to the Alpine Mountains in Yosemite to the rainy forests in the North Cascades. We're attempting to thru-hike the PCT during the small window of time that the entire trail is typically passable from May-October. Though a seemingly huge undertaking and perhaps a bit out of the ordinary, it's just walking after all.

We made it through all of that plus the snow storm that was moving through the mountain range with 60+ mph winds this morning to the wonderful town of Wrightwood, CA. I made some great videos of the storm coming in it literally almost took us over the side of the mountain, but I have to wait until we catch up with our Ipad in Mojave to upload them. The best part of making it to Wrightwood was that when we made it to the Yodler known by PCT hikers far and wide for its huge burgers we caught up with the two Washington boys in this picture Kurt & Glen (trail names : Kurt & Glen) for some burgers and Elton John's Rocket Man. That is a good start to the Memorial Day weekend. We are here for the day to resupply and eat and then we are off again. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend. Talk yo you soon.

Those riff raff look like trouble and I am not talking about kurt & glen.....,be safe and happy trails.

Jimmy it is so good to hear from you. I am glad to see that you have maintained your heli clearance. That is a very tough thing to do. I'm impressed. Be care careful on those rigs and don't lose thst clearance card.

Really enjoying the updates Drew and Kristi....and realizing I'm definitely better off reading about this adventure than doing it myself!!

The video below is what inspired me on many of those days and nights when it seemed like the possibility of even taking this chance was a mere dream. If there is any video that can inspire you to leave the comfort of your home with your air conditioning, comfortable bed, refrigerator, hot water and pack up all of the belongings that you will need into a bag that is smaller than the luggage that I take with me on most week long business trips (I have been called a Diva due to my packing style) then this video is it. Make sure that you hit the full screen option and crank up the volume because this is truly hiker porn at its best. - Drew
