Running from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon and Washington, the 2665 mile PCT meanders from the SoCal desert to the Alpine Mountains in Yosemite to the rainy forests in the North Cascades. We're attempting to thru-hike the PCT during the small window of time that the entire trail is typically passable from May-October. Though a seemingly huge undertaking and perhaps a bit out of the ordinary, it's just walking after all.

The view of Palm Springs from our tent at Apache Spring at over 7k feet. The wind is blowing in at about 60 mph...true story but this view is outrageous and the sunrise is going to be even more amazing if we can wake up for it. We climbed a few thousand feet and then went down a few thousand and then climbed a few thousand more for good measure on this 17 mile day. I kept looking for the escalator, but it never was found. Maybe tomorrow.
