Running from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon and Washington, the 2665 mile PCT meanders from the SoCal desert to the Alpine Mountains in Yosemite to the rainy forests in the North Cascades. We're attempting to thru-hike the PCT during the small window of time that the entire trail is typically passable from May-October. Though a seemingly huge undertaking and perhaps a bit out of the ordinary, it's just walking after all.

Drew teaching Barracuda some bad behavior. Barracuda is attempting to be the youngest hiker to complete the PCT at 8 years old. When asked what was his favorite part of the trail so far, he says " the freedom!" So wise for his age--- I told him to give my niece a call. ( in 10 years- don't worry Doug)

10 years? I like the track you are on so let's say 20+ years. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd which niece? I have a hunch Barracuda doesn't want any piece of the Adelinator ... even if he can hunt down his own food; hike 2400+ miles and sleeps with one eye open.
Oh yes my money's on Addy. It' d be dangerous to get the two of them together. Miss you guys!
