Running from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon and Washington, the 2665 mile PCT meanders from the SoCal desert to the Alpine Mountains in Yosemite to the rainy forests in the North Cascades. We're attempting to thru-hike the PCT during the small window of time that the entire trail is typically passable from May-October. Though a seemingly huge undertaking and perhaps a bit out of the ordinary, it's just walking after all.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
ReplyDeleteSOOOOO PROUD FOR YOU!!!
(Your 800 year old dog thinks you rock!!) :)
Looks like an amazing view. I was checking out the PCT website. I hope you and Kristi are getting the Olympic caliber PCT Completion Medal. I have also decided, after reading your blogs for almost two months, that this trail is really just an excuse to eat all the ice cream and other junk food you want without having to worry about weight gain. I recently purchased Ben & Jerry's stock. Eli said he wants to crawl the next leg of the trip with you. He is at 27 pounds at 11 months. He feels he could stand to lose a few lbs. BTW, the guy in the shorts didn't get the memo that it's cold up there? Love y'all.
ReplyDeleteLuke you've figured us out! Drew is currently half way thru a gallon of butterfinger ice cream. Be sure to keep feeding your little one and send a pic!
DeleteCongrats Krist and Drew. Incredible.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess it was worth quitting your jobs, leaving your responsibilites high and dry, missing family bonding on vacation, and gorging yourself every 7 days?!
So envious! Enjoy the journey.
Douggie you know your sister is loving this! You're the responsible one. I'm super sad to be missing you all this week though. A yes day with Punka sounds awesome right now.
